Halloween 2025

We hosted our very first Halloween party this year. It was a potluck-style party with our favorite neighbors and friends, and plenty of themed snacks to go around. Everyone brought something spooky or sweet to share, and it turned into the perfect mix of laughter, sugar rushes, and creativity.

Our Costumes, friends of hello kitty!

If you were to ask me, I’d tell you that family costumes were the goal every year but unfortunately, the other members of my family don’t see it quite the same way. But some how we managed to pull it out after all. Noelle is a big anime fan and Kuromi is her girl. I suggested a family costume of the other characters and magically (I mean with some serious coaxing of Minka), we all picked someone to cosplay.

For the grown-ups, we had “Trick-or-Treat Drink Buckets” — fun, grab-and-go cocktails and mocktails that made everyone feel like a kid again (but with better treats!). The kids ran around in costume, the adults compared who nailed their character best, and the whole night was just one big ball of fun!

This idea was from a creator on Instagram that I will now be following for all the festive drink buckets!!

One of my favorite touches? The custom “Wanted” posters I made for every guest, big and small. An idea I got from TikTok! Each one had their government name and a fun little description. It was such a unique way to decorate, and everyone got a kick out of finding their face on the wall and what they were “wanted for'“.

We’ve done family costumes before, but this one felt special. Maybe it’s because it was our first time opening up our home for Halloween, or maybe it’s because everyone really committed to the theme. Either way, it was such a fun night to see our house come alive with so many smiles and stories.
