Designing a room for your child is such a special moment — but designing one with them is something entirely different.

When it came time to create a space for my oldest daughter, she was so ready to have a room that felt like her! Not just a place to sleep, but a space that reflected her personality, her interests, and the things she loves most.

There’s something about a home office that sets the tone for how you show up in your work. For me, I wanted a space that no longer felt sterile or overly polished. I wanted something warm, colorful, and inspiring. A space that reflected creativity, encouraged big ideas, and felt like me.

When I started designing this space, I had one goal: to make it feel like the kind of dining room people actually want to sit in long after dinner is over. I didn’t want it to be overly formal or staged, I wanted warmth, texture, and depth.
