From Bland to Brilliant: The Start of Our Girls’ Shared Bathroom Makeover
Drum Roll PLEASE!!!!!! The next project is…..
In it’s current natural state
It’s funny how some rooms in your home work just fine but never feel finished. Our girls’ shared bathroom has been one of those spaces, until recently!! All beige, builder-grade, and begging for a little love. It was functional until very recently as the towel racks have broken, prompting this bathroom’s immediate need for attention and love. With three growing girls, it’s time to make it work harder for us and feel a lot more like them!
The Problem (what’s not working)
Right now, their bathroom is... fine. It has the basics, sinks, a great bathtub, a shower, and enough space to brush teeth — but not much else. There’s nowhere to store towels or products, and the mirrors are giving early 2000s energy (and not in the fun, Y2K comeback way). It’s time for something more intentional.
The Vision (what you’re dreaming up)
The goal? A bathroom that grows with them, something fresh, colorful, and functional but not overly childish. I’m thinking an accent wall behind the sinks for instant personality, new mirrors to modernize the space, a new light fixture and a cabinet for towel storage that actually makes sense for three kids. And of course, we’ll add fun art that reflects who they are right now but can evolve as they do.

I’m leaning toward something bright but not too busy. Think: fun enough for now, timeless enough for later.
We’ve been tackling one space at a time, and this one feels extra special because it’s for our girls. I can already picture the giggles and untwisting of natural coil sessions happening in a space that feels more ‘them.’ Stay tuned — I’ll be sharing progress shots, paint swatches, and maybe even a few sneak peeks of what’s happening on the pool deck next!!!!
